Your Records: Client records are kept for ten years. After ten years, the files are shredded before being recycled

Security: Shar Leans takes a number of steps to protect its customers. Client files are stored away from the public traffic in lockable filing cabinets. Sales and financial information is kept on an Accounting program with secure user access. The owner of the organization is the only person who has daily access to this computer software. For tax purposes only, the organization provides an accountant and the government with financial information generated by this program. The building is protected by an alarm system that is monitored 24 hours a day.

Your Consent: The knowledge and consent of the customer are required for the collection, use or disclosure of customer information except where required or permitted by law.

Written consent will be obtained before the organization uses any information for advertising purposes. Information remains private. Personal information is not disclosed to any third party for marketing. Identities of clients remain private and information obtained during sessions will not be shared with any third party.

Information on you medical history, eating patterns and physical attributes are obtained for the purpose of helping you to reach your weight loss and nutrition goals. Personal information is not sold or made available to third parties. It is used for contacting you with clinic information and possibly for billing and shipping purposes. You have trusted us with your personal information so that we can create a personalized meal plan, diet program and supplement regimen. All information is used to aid the client in losing weight.

Openess: Shar Leans is required to make information available to customers concerning the policies and practices that apply to the management of their information. Upon request, a customer shall be informed of the existence, use and disclosure of their information, and shall be given access to it. Customers may verify the accuracy and completeness of their information, and may request that it be amended, if appropriate.
